Satellite facility with 24/7 lights out

We manufacture in two facilities. One is our satellite plant, located within 10 miles of our main facility. We operate 24 hours per day, 7 days per week – eliminating the variation due to shut down and start up. At our lights out facility, every cycle is monitored by machine control. If variation in process deviation is detected, the press rejects the shot. And, when we turn the lights back on, a sample is taken from each box of parts and inspected. (We have not fully automated inspection – yet.)

Our lights out facility – which houses exclusively Milacron-Fanuc All-Electric Presses, is controlled by one shift of employees – who insist they work better with the lights on!
